Most often, it manifests itself in fatigue and sweating, or conversely, by sensitivity to cold and palpitations. An untreated thyroid disorder can result in infertility or heart damage.
We always advise to arrive for a blood collections on an empty stomach. We further recommend you drink a larger quantity of water or unsweetened tea (at least a quarter of a litre) before leaving home.
