Do your liver, pancreas, and kidneys work properly? We can check all these organs from a single blood sample. Unfortunately, kidney and pancreas diseases can remain undetected for a some time. And the longer they remain hidden, the more serious the consequences. That is why the tests should be repeated regularly, especially if you suffer from excessive weight, have recovered from hepatitis A, B, or C, or if you consume alcohol regularly.
If you are scheduled for blood collection, please keep in mind a few basic rules that will assure correct results. Starting at around 4 p.m. on the day before collection, you should limit the intake of certain foods such as alcohol, chocolate, and nuts and avoid demanding physical activity as both could distort the results. A light diet is recommended. It is advisable to drink a larger quantity of water or unsweetened tea (at least a quarter of a litre) before leaving home.
